Quick advice on oil change

Just hit 7500 miles...oil was changed at 3750 with ester. Down about 1/4 of a quart and oils still looks golden fresh. I am driving 85% highway so I'm looking for some input on changing oil now or waiting. All replies are welcome and thanks.

Just wait till you hit 8k miles, that way you can get into a habit of changing every 4k miles or so. Thats what my interval is. But i do a lot of short trips and the heat here can take a toll on the oil. Even if you're running a good synthetic, i dont see why you wouldnt be willing to spend 40-50 bucks every 4k miles to ensure your engine can perform and run at its best.

Since you do mostly highway driving and you might consider using the 7500 mile interval if you want to in order to save some money. I use synthetic and change every 7500 (55K on the car and no problems) but I drive mostly highway miles too. It's up to you.

I changed mine at 1k then 5k, then every 5k after that. Just simple to remember in 5k intervals. I use Mobil1 5/30 w/ Mobil1 Filter and engine is quiet & running smooth. No oil consumption at all, every change I'm still at the high mark on the stick.

Thanks...I like the 5k-7500 mile interval. It's not the $$ it's getting the ramps out less often.
