shift at 4k and just let the pedal out slowly. It sucks. Youll get it.

First off son, I aint no boy, I'm a grown *** man. Nobody on the face of the planet has won so called "Championships" revving first gear out to a whopping 750rpms.

Now, if we are talking about actual harm on the motor, even Helen Keller could see that lower the revs, the longer the motor lasts, but that's not what we are talking about, nor does that mean a motor that is revved will not last. You might need to brush up on your reading comprehension "boy".

That being said, a motor that is "hammered" around can still last if you use quality lubricants and stay up on your maintenance. This aint my first rodeo, nor is the G my only car. I have another "fun" car that runs high ten's to low elevens in full street trim that is absolutely bullet proof and I run first gear to redline while launching at (Surprise, Surprise) redline on Drag Slicks all day every day and twice on Sundays. (Vid proof if you need it.) The notion that first gear is "only" for getting a car into second and you should keep the revs so low the car almost stalls is sheer lunacy. Anway, the premise of this thread was helping this guy on the 1/2 shift so lets get back to it, shall we.

3rd to 4th gear shifting!

I have a question guys ive been having my 08 g37s 6 speed for about a mo. Started getting used to the gears at first. Shifts perfectly in the morning and at night! Been having issues around 110 degrees and more in az so when i shift from 3rd to 4th it feels soft but it still goes into gear. Clutch seems fine because i can drive it early in the morning and everygear is smooth. I wonder if its the heat or syncro. I need help im new to the vqs and need advice! It has 82k original miles

Not sure just bought it a month ago i will change it out tho asap see if it fixes the issue! Sorry im new to the forum lol ill post a new thread. Im just worried about big issues as im syncro etc!

Awesome thanks for the feed back ima wait until night time and when its not 114 out and check to see if it shifts perfect into 4th again. Next ill change the fluid and see from there. If i meep having problems ill have a diagnostic to check if anything internal is damaged but its been totally fine ever since. Its hard to put car in fourth while rolling on neutral to 4th and 3rd to 4th. Man im scared because i know parts and not cheap in a g. First time with such a nice car
