Guess what i was quoted for an oil change?

Universal Nissan in SoCal said it would cost me 129 for Synthetic Oil. The most reasonable quote I got so far is 70 dollars.

I did it myself, bought the parts and oil for around $60, with synthetic oil.

Now these prices are insane. I pay $160. For the life of the car (as long as I own it). And this is from the dealer no less.

Try Infiniti of Kirkland. They charge $199 for an ester oil change.

OP, why not buy your favorite Synthetic Oil + filter at Autozone (they usually have combo deals like buy 5 qts get premium filter free all for like $30ish) and then just pay a shop like $15 for the labor in the change? That would run you under $50 for the whole ordeal.

You should just do your own oil change. I would of been doing my oil change if I didn't get free oil changes from my dealership.

My route was go to Sam's Club or Costco buy Mobil 1 for like 30 bucks for 6 quarts and oil filter from nissan at whole sale which was like 5 bucks and did my own oil change.

It saved you a lot money =).

Come on guys, be a woman and pay someone else to do it.

It's called most people are either too lazy or don't want to invest the time nor extra equipment to do their own changes. It's sometimes cheap enough where paying someone else to do it is worth your money and time saved.

I've done my own oil change once, and yeah I know it's easy, but I'd simply rather just get it done at a shop.
