Working around the engine is much easier with the engine out of the car. We've always removed engines on our TT installs, to facilitate proper clearancing and routing of lines and proper torqueing of all fasteners. The GTM is a very complex with many parts, and it's just easier IMHO to install everything with the engine out of the car.

How hard was pulling out the engine? Those new engine are so high tech it really scares me just to hear that.

Can you use a strut bar with this turbo system or is the engine raise up too far?

Not very hard, when you remove it the way we do. It comes out as one unit with subframe and suspension/brakes still attached.

Yea, that was the first time ive ever seen a motor pulled like that with the suspension and brakes still attached to the motor. i was in shock !!! But very understandable to work on a motor that is out of the car. If it was easy enough I would have done it when I installed my headers....biggest pain in my a$$ and the worst part about it, stillen shipped me headers for a g35 and I installed them only to find out there was a fitment issue and i had to go back in and take it off and install the right one which was even harder since there was less room to work with than the g35 headers they sent me.....stillen...always messin up (at least the made it right) I was able to keep the g35 headers they gave me and i sold them
