Shift **** not in park?

So today, i decided on working on getting my center console out and my radio console pieces off the manual says to put in Neutral before removing the shift **** and center console. So i do that. Everything went smooth until i put back the pieces together. then it tell me Park up shift...or more like shift to park but when i do it does not read it or sense it. Anyone experience problem or know how to fix it?

lol sorry. I clicked and wanted to help but i dont know about the AT's as i dont have one. So whats happening is basically you put it into park, but it doesn't register? What does it say ?

can pics help clear it up? For a second i thought the shift **** was mis-aligned from the park position because of the thread title.

I've taken apart my '06 Gx center console extensively and had your problem b/c i was off by two notches in the shift gate -- i had to re-adjust the shift gate UNDER the shift gate trim piece (adjusting the orange indicator -- which is actually a light now in the '07+ obviously) and re-feed the white stalk through the leather and chrome ring into the shift ****/switch...

i wonder if you're having the same issue? can you use the shift lock override to put the car into park and therefore reset it?

I thought there was a cable assembly going to the shifter gate. Did you reconnect it?
