Say hello to my UR Underdrive Crank Pulley
Just got my hands on those!
Install
Well it isn't the easiest job to do, unless you know what you're doing have it professionally installed. The OEM bolts are so damn tight it's not funny. The bolt which bolts the OEM Pulley to the crank shaft felt like it was welded to the crank! The mechanic suggested removing the starter and holding the flywheel from one side and unscrewing from the other and bingo the bolt is loose. A little WD40 and some pushing & hammering and it finally came out.
Here's the bolt I'm talking about:
OEM vs. UR side by side:
The OEM felt so much heavier!
Impression
After driving around for a while it did feel like it revved faster when I floored it. It also felt a little more responsive when I was swimming through traffic. I wanted to get a before/after dyno on this but I was quoted like 300 bux!! That's more than the pulley & the install combined lol I'm happy with it, tails even easier to slide I'm not complaining haha

being that the UR pulley is just a bling factor.. you cant even see it under all the crap on top.. second of all ..your factory pulley is a dampener.. it has rubber insides which dampen the shock vibrations from your crank.. without that very bad effects can happen.. if the G uses a crank driven oil pump gear then kiss that goodbye. bottom line you will be super lucky if you can even get 1hp from this.

factory pulley is not a dampener, I read it on the370Z that our engines are pre-balanced and pulley has no dampening effect

well whoever said that the factory pulley is not a dampener is a complete moron....
i don't care how WELL balanced your engine is....it is never perfect...and with even the slightest vibrations, it can cause some serious damage without the factory harmonic dampener....(i know from experience)...
even turning on your A/C can cause damage since the belt will vibrate when the A/C engages....
the vibrations may not cause any damage in the short run...but in the long run...you will start feeling weird vibrations coming from the engine..which you will feel in your cabin...followed by you kissing your crank seal good bye....once your crank seal goes...ur engine will pretty much drain all it's oil into your transmission (will slowly leak)...
lots of people say that the harmonic dampener does nothing...i beg to differ...good luck
for that extra 1whp, it's almost not worth a future full of headaches and empty wallets
