When it's complete, could you please post some pics from the front so I can see how it looks with the bumper back in place?

Have been for a while now. Just have to get all my ducks in a row first. I'd like to do this as soon as my powertrain warranty is finished; I'm at 41K now. Still undecided whether to make a 1500 mile road trip out to GTM and have them install/tune or get it done locally.

Have GTM take care of it so there's no third party doing the tune. If there's a problem, there's wont' be a debate on whose fault it is, manufacturer or tuner. I think it's worth it when you're going FI.

Sell a kit in so cal, write off the miles

My car is my showcase for my business, I write off everything I do to it, including mileage.

I'd love to get it done from the source because they put the kit together, and have the most experience than anyone with installing and tuning it. The downside is I'd have to be away form home for possibly a month. Not that I don't have complete confidence in GTM's workmanship but in the event that I do ever have any problems down the line, I'd have to go to a local tuner who I didn't use for the install/tune to fix someone else's work. That's the drawback of having it installed and tuned in Cali.

Nice.

How experienced is the local shop? I'd weigh their experience and expertise with that of GTM, which may or may not translate to likelihood of problems occurring.....

There was an epic thread about GTM and somebody else over a customer's blown motor, can't recall the details but my last post was what I gathered from that.

I read that thread and couldn't figure out who did what. There's several reputagble tuners around Houston who could do it without issue. I already know what they will say ahead of time: "I can put you together a turbo kit just like that here locally."

BB, get a striped down '09 base model from a cali dealer and have GTM build the motor and then fly out and pick it up. Sell your current ride in Texas when it's done and ready to go. You'll prolly end up with different wheels, exhaust, suspension anyway with the TT and you can build it to your liking instead of modding what you already have. I know it's not the most economical option, but it's Just a thought.

The G would be bitchin' with 500 ponies
