turning traction control off

turning traction control off

ok..i kno there is a button on the left of the steering wheel to turn off the vehicle dynamic control (vdc)....but is there another button somewhere or some setting to turn off the traction control system (tcs)...cus according to infinti's website they are 2 different things and do have different functions....very similar..but different...so i dono if there is a button or turning the vdc off automatically turns off both....?

I'm pretty sure turning off your VDC will turn off whatever you are looking for. It will give more control back to the driver without too much stability controll interference from the ECU. Your ABS will still be active with the VDC off, though.

Hitting the VDC button will disable both and you can do burnouts...

pushing the VDC button only turns off some of the traction... slip will still be on.. you cant fully turn it off which sucks

If you hit the brakes, then the car will assume you are trying to regain traction, and do what it needs to do to make the wheels stop spinning, regardless of if you have VDC on or off.

to completely turn it off, you have to pull the abs fuse.

lol heres sharif in treys old sedan showing us a burnout with the fuse pulled.

I'm assuming this only applies on 5AT or 7AT. I can do burn-outs on my 6MT when VDC is off. And the "slip" light does not blink at all.

He's on a wet surface.. he didn't need to take his fuse off. I'd love to see him do that on a dry road.

I took out the fuse and here's what happened

to do a burnout in the old g35, thats what you had to do. guess its not the same for the 37. ive done a couple in my 7at with just vdc off at stop lights lol.
