I believe the mid-ship would have something to do with the swap, also i don't think you can mount the tranny right behind it, since the GT-R's tranny is at the rear of the car (under the rear seats). No go.

The time and money invested will make the cost of the G37 well over 60-70k if not more, and it still won't be a good "clean" job.
Might as well put the extra few thousand and grab a real GT-R. The idea is sweet though for like a show car.

yeah i hear you. I find that the GT-R looks awesome in pictures and stuff, but in person its "bulky". That and the fact that it only comes in the dual clutch auto, it doesn't really appeal to me. At that price range, i would more likely pick a different car.
GT-R motor + G37 = sex.

Aren't the GT-R transmissions like over $20k? I would assume a new GT-R engine would be more than that. 5k is reasonable though i guess for a salvaged engine.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would buy the engine anyway.. You can always buy it and make an attempt to hire some custom modificators to see if they can custom build it into the engine bay of the G37 and replace the VQ37. If you buy it and don't want it you can always resell it... You can also add a 6 speed tranny for it
