Whatever they develop for the 370Z will most likely work on the G37 as well. One of the problems is that the OEM header is already very very good! There is room for improvement but the $/HP ratio aka value, starts going down compared to the already available mods.

Impul's already out, selling for around $2k check out their website..

I've had this Long Tube vs. Short Tube headers arguement with a local tuner shop and he said he's tested both on VQ35's, the long tubes in his opinion did not create sufficient back pressure which was vital for our 6 banger. He said off-the line performance decreased a lot. Again, I'm just quoting him and would like to see his argument supported by numbers/graphs/scientific reasoning.

Can anyone chime in here?

I have to admit though, I heard the long tube's on the Z and daaaaaaaaaaaayum did they sound sexy.

I called Ichiba a while back and asked if they would be making headers for the G37. The guy on the phone asked me "why would we do that" he then went on to explain that the headers were already good.

He does understand basic header theory.

Long tues would work if designed properly. Generally speaking you would be able to design a header that scavenges better when you have room to make a proper collector and equal tube length. The problem with the G/Z engine packaing is that you must incorporate the HFC or test pipe into the header.
