i think the coupe is heavier because they made it stiffer and had to reinforce the doors dont quote i believe i heard that somewhere and the coupes doors are pretty heavy

yes that is one of the reason why.

The 08 is not faster the our coupe, now the 09 is a diff story. But then again 09 coupe vs 09 sedan would be closer then 09 sedan vs 08 coupe (autoVauto)

ok folks.. keep in mind that the throttle positioning sensor on the Sedan is set to a higher sensitivity than in the Coupe. 30 to 50% down on the pedal will open up the throttle more than 30 to 50% down onthe pedal in the coupe- ( go do a search on G35driver)

At full throttle they both feel the same. You are not going to notice 1 tenth of a second on a butt dyno. There have been documented head to head matches coupe vs sedan at tracks and all indication is that it is strictly a drivers race.

In addition the torque converter on the Sedan is calibrated differently than on the coupe. The Sedan has a more on/off engagement. The Coupe is more gradual.

Thus the reason the Sedan "feels" faster at times.
