Sweet... I thought I was correct...

proper setup for me?

I have stillen Gen 3 CAI, magnaflow catt back and COBB ap. I noticed i was getting poor gas mileage so i downloaded new cobb firmware and then uninstalled cobb ap from g37. I want to run a full tank of gas to see how the mileage changes good or bad.

#1. Do i need to disconnect battery to reset ecu or does the ap automatically return to stock after uninstall?

#2 After my test should i be using stage 2 map even though i dont have HFC or test pipes?

^^^the cobb AP didnt effect my MPG at all, i had it installed for about 2 tanks of gas worth of driving. When you uninstall the AP, you are automatically back to stock settings, no need for ecu reset. You technically shouldn't be running the AP with the intakes at all. Neither stage is set up for intakes, and if you run stage 2 with intakes, and no HFC's, you could see some issues with your A/F ratio being out of wack.

basically what AZ is trying to say is.. get your own maps.. ready made maps FTL!! even the word intakes make a difference.. a short tube is different than a long tube different etc.. not all catbacks have the same exact airflow (to say stage 1 is optimum for an intake & catback).. is a fujita intake with magnaflow catback setup like a stillen gen3 with borla catback? i doubt it thus def. different maps
my 2 fils

I'm running stage 2 and I have an Injen C.A.I with Greddy Ti-c and tanabe y-pipe, should I go back to stage 1? Or just stay at stage 2 and save up for hfc I think I be ok at stage 2 with what I have now for a while?

my car runs fine with stage 2...so far

For god sakes its a cobb tuning console, coming from a boosted g with hks fcon standalone system, and researching about this and asking people who already has this, this is a dummy proof system, easy quick small power, for the money not bad. We pay 1000 + for full exhausts that give us 5-10whp, this for 700 bucs get 5-10whp not bad hahaha..thats how i look at it..

I don't even want to tell personal pro tuners i know im using cobb, they'll break down rofl at me lol...freaking NA people....just suucks being one of them again...still love the Cobb AP tho, I DID feel a difference haha

FYI, last I checked it was $175 for custom tuned maps from Cobb if you data log your car and send them the info. It's a task that takes awhile, but if you don't mind, it beats the price any shop would charge for all the dyno runs and tuning etc.. when the tuning software is released.

you could be doing some damage if your A/F ratio is off. I'd suggest using the live data monitoring with the cobb AP and see what your AF ratio is idle and under load.
