Shaking Tranny

Hey guys. I tried searching the boards but couldn't find an answer. I've had my car for only a month now and i've been having a small issue. When i disengage the clutch going from 1st to 2nd gear the whole tranny shakes abruptly(u can hear it and the car shakes a little). Has anyone had this problem and if so what should i do? Thank you

You might be letting the clutch out too fast.

How do you know its the tranny, are you sure its not just the rattle of the flywheel/clutch. Our cars have very loud transmissions.

no it's not when i let the clutch out...it happens when i press the clutch down to shift to second...not when i'm letting it engage for second

Never heard of this... You sure you're not shifting before the clutch is fully pressed down? If it's not that then take it in to the dealer and take them for a ride so they know what's goin on...

Also this is only when you press in the clutch, before you even go to change gears right?

Oh wait is it when you are gassing it in first, take your foot off the gas, then push in the clutch to shift? I have that sound too... It's kind of a "clu-clunk" sound and the car shakes a bit huh? I think it was discussed a while ago... If I remember correctly, someone even made a video of it... i think members said it was normal though...

Yea I'm not a big fan of it either... I remember the first time it happened i was like "WTF just happened??!!!" hehehe... Try shifting at higher rpms, I've notice it happens more frequently between 2000-2800 rpms, where it happens less at 3000 rpms and above... Might just be my car though...
