Car not the same AFTER ECU TSB reflash :(
Folks - I don't agree...many people, including me, have had the ECU reflashed and did not experience this issue afterward. However, that being said, my car just started exhibiting the same problem, 5k miles after reflash and 2k miles after installation of my FI exhaust/cat setup. Dealer tried to blame the FI exhaust as there were no codes thrown, and then they suggested I run the car to empty and switch fuel brands. The car sputters when revved in neutral/park and has VERY limited power until I hit 3k rpm. This started suddenly last night and no one can figure out what is going on....OP - Let us know what you find out but don't wait. The dealer told me to bring it in immediately upon description of the problem to avoid potential subsequent damage to other components...again, no solution and no direction from dealer.
Guys, I could be crazy, but I have a feeling a lot of the new auto G37s are having serious transmission issues. What happens when you drive in tiptronic? Try a spirited run as if it were manual, start out in 1st, gun it, shift before redline, continue up to 3rd. If you don't haul, it's probably an engine or ECU issue. If you do haul, it's probably a transmission issue. Almost sounds like the TCM on the valve body is stuck in failsafe mode (4th gear) for drive.
I'm confused by this thread. I have the auto and had it reflashed by TechnoSquare. I drive all day long in DS mode with tiptronic with no probs. What exactly is the concern...transmission probs or sluggish ride?? I just want to understand so I don't do anything damaging to the car. Runs strong right now.

This is about dealer/factory reflash for the TSB, not an aftermarket reflash...

Ohh, OK. Can you give me the rundown on what the TSB is and why some need it factory reflashed. By the way, the TechnoSquare reflash is great!! It unlocks the hidden power in your car.

In reference to the Technosquare reflash. Do you know if will improve performance on a stock system. Also, do you know how I can find someone in Florida that can do as good of a job as Technosquare. How do I find DeiselDoug's post? And final, as of to date what are the preferred type and brands of mods of most guys. Example
Stillen headers? What brand test pipes or high flow cats? Borla or Fast Intentions exaust? Whose cold air intake? Sorry for all the ?'s. I'm not able to get on site as much as I'd like to. Trying to catch up on the latest stuff. Thanks.
