6th gear going 80 is past 3k rpm?

6th gear going 80 is past 3k rpm?

is it just my G or is this normal on everyone elses? it seems sorta high going 75 is already 3k rpms and going 80 it goes past the 3k rpms i alwayts try to stay under the 3 or right on it anyone?

that is correct. around 3k when you are going 80. this is normal, i guess. have the same thing happen.

ya i guess, i hada 350z and going 80 it was about 3k or right under the g37 it wants to go past 3 =[ gas consumptioN!?

are you crazy ?? the redline is 7500 and this engine doesnt really make much power below 2500 anyway..so this is a good place to start if you find yourself needing acceleration !! just remember..this is a performance vehicle not your average commuter car.

Even so, why should the engine work hard than it has to?
It almost seems that Nissan/Infiniti intended for the G37 to have bad gas mileage.....

not really. i get about 25 mpg on highway. mix driving about 22.

Right at 3100 at 80MPH.

I wish it was aroung 2700.

hmmm...u sound more of the crazy one if u think cruising at 80mph in 6th gear is a good place to start if u need the acceleration

and why do u need much power if u r cruising at 80mph?

btw, 6th gear going 80mph a lil pass 3k rpm is normal on our car
