The GTR motors are built by hand by a small team of techs who also over see the building of the transaxles.
It's nice when you hear about hand built motors. So much pride goes into it. So hints the price also.

Any reliable options in the Houston area?

Would an AT really want this system? I thought I heard that the stock AT can handle up to 350rwhp? I might be wrong on that number, but if the GTM layout is pushing 500+ I am certain that the Automatic Transmission will need work to be able to handle this. Are there any AT options over and above the stock AT right now? IE valve body upgrades.....

Automatic doesn't alway mean weaker, i don't know how this nissan AT is built, but most toyota auto tranny hold better than the manual counterpart. Just need some cooling.

when you get into EXTREME power an auto is perfered, perfect shifts every time. if my car was blessed with over 600hp i'd personally throw an AT on it.

yea but not the stock AT tranny... Manual is always way more fun. Look at ryan woons supra running extreme HP on a 6MT tranny. Not saying its stock but i personally would much rather have a MT

A upgraded valve body would be needed. Not bad idea to go ahead and get now if you have AT. Would only benefit.

As a matter of fact, that was GTM's recommendations to make it more robust, but based on their experience, they seem to believe the stock AT can handle 400WHp.

I've seen 1st gen G coupes and sedans with TT and SC handle 550whp also, but I'm not sure if they did anything to the stock AT tranny.

Most likely so..... I have a friend in my 350Z club with a 500WHP + AT and he in deed had the tranny built to handel the WHP
