1200 miles and already experiencing problems

Driver side door is rattling from the music. Shake in steering when braking hard. And at 4000 RPMs there is a VERY weird rattle coming from underneath the stick. Do i have a lemon?!

If you steering wheel is shaking while braking, then you've most likely warped your brakes or rotors from braking too hard at hard speeds.. Or something of that nature. Nothing to do with Infiniti or fruit.

Sounds like it's time to take it to the dealer. What kind of break-in procedure did you do? Have you always braked hard below 1200 miles?

The other more likely cause of the shaking is the road. If you are not on a flat, smooth road then sometimes you can get some shaking when braking. I get this on certain roads.

Rattling could be from something in the door pocket. The 4000 rpm rattle is probably something with the shifting linkage or something else that is resonating at a frequency within that RPM range. Many things from TO bearings to clutch forks etc can make noise when damaged and hit a resonating frequency. If you are not mechanically inclined then you should bring it to the shop for them to look at.

The shimming while braking is most likely due too rotors. You most likely have been trying to drive this car like a race car and aggressively braking this fat pig! LOL Unfortunately, unlike most want you to believe, this car is not ready to go on the track or repetitively do your street course racing without in the very, upgrading to racing pads. NIssan and and maybe Infiniti, have ALWAYS had abnormally high rotor warping issues. My advice it to bring it in the shop and get ready to take it with no KY Jelly as it should be under user wear and you will pay for it.

Also, stop racing the car unless you at least properly modify it. If you haven't run it hard and all of this just happened with normal driving then good luck and bring it in and make them fix it for free.

Door rattle - nothing in door pockets. Rattle stops when i apply pressure to the door. Guessing something's loose inside.

Shake in steering - Rotors are most likely warped. I don't brake very hard, but i did have to brake pretty hard once or twice on the highway when the cars in front of me were braking hard due to slight traffic and their lack of driving skills.

Rattle coming from underneath at 4k RPMs - NO CLUE!

Called Infiniti about all of these issues...they will look at it and figure it out. I'm not paying a penny that's for sure!!

NO way should your rotors warp just from that braking. Sounds like some issues and I wouldn't pay a dime either. Good luck.

That has nothing to do with warping brakes/rotors, if anything haveing huge brakes would make it easier..

The vibration through the stick around 4k rpm is normal for 6mts. My 2006 G35C 6mt did it throughout it's whole life and my brand new g37 did it on the way home from the dealer. Ignore it if it is relatively minor (like mine).

No no... definitely not minor. Very noticeable even if the music is on low. Had 2 of my friends check it out that know alot about cars and they couldnt even think of any reason why they're hearing such a thing. Hopefully Infiniti can figure it out.

Yea i wouldnt expect the brakes to warp that fast either. In my past 2 G35's...it took atleast a year before i had to get the rotors cut.
