no it wouldnt b/c the G37 would never be able to run a 7:38 on the nurb , it would have to be totally gutted and fitted with everything the GTR has mechanically and eletronically.
plus it would have to be aerodynamic like the GTR which means a totally different body.
the G37 nor any skyline previously built could compare to what the GTR is now.

word...cus Z-tune GTR was bada$$ but got spanked badly by mine's R34
but one thing you have to realize about the GTR is that its not about being a power house, its truly about power, balance and areodynamics moe than any previous skyline
for any other skyline to run what the GTR it would have to be totally redone from the ground up. just by puttin ga bunch of power under the hood isnt going to do it.
main thing that would have to change is the shape of the body it would have to be come more sleek so it could slip through the air. not to mention the chassis, sofiticated transmission and the list goes on
so as i said before. no other skyline including the G37/Skyline 350gt will be able to touch it as a track car.

EDIT: I asked him about the race with the Lambo and matter of fact the Lambo never pulled away the race went from 0-approx 80-90ish and his s2k was always right by the Lambo's side fender....!

just like Niikura Michizo of "Mine's" stated tuners arent going to be getting this car and trying to to get massive amount of hp out of like previou skylines. why do you think Nissan made it tamper proof. for this reason.
this car is to compare with the 911. turners dont get 911's to see how much HP they can crank out of the motors. the cars about being track cars the best track cars. and thats when NIssan wanted out of this car.

I agree my cousin in Chicago has one of the top 3 most powerful and fastest S2000's in the nation. It stays nose to nose with a Lambo Gallardo from 0-70mph and then the lambo pulls away....his s2k is running over 450 WHP with turbo of course...he only spent $12-13k on the mods past sticker price, bargain hunter...who woulda ever thought? anyways point im tryn to make is that with the right tuning you could prob have a G37 that compares to the GT-R in the straight shot, id say give it at least about $15-20k investment though...at that point ur gettin somewhat close to the pricing on the GT-R anyway....especially if u started with a fully loaded G. now i do agree that even still the G would fall short of the GT-R on the tracks...coilovers and sway bars only go so far....

and id imagine the Mines Skyline would have a better chance than both Top Secret and Amuse.

GTR isn't even out yet.. how could we even have this conversation?? it seems unfair and unrealistic to pick sides at this juncture regardless of released specs.

yes we can. the Nissan GTR is real has been tested, being tested, documented proof of iits stats running on the nurb.
on the other hand the 2010 NSX pictures are still sketchs, we havent seen or heard anything about it besides that its supposed to be comingout in 2010.

true that the NSX is still in its primal stages. however, i would take the numbers on the GTR with a grain of salt. Marketing and mis-representaion is a common practice in this industry. we'd have to look at weight and balance on the final production model. a good example, the EVO-X still has a clause that states the numbers on the SST version are still beiing evaluated and the car comes out next month! i agree it will be a close one. but those souped up top secret skylines you guys speak of are in 100K and up price marker minus the anemities. for that dough i would assume they do a damn fine job.
bro they arent gong to release a watered down GTR after achieving the number it has. after beating the 996 and 997 911, and smacking up the corvette.
