Help MAF voltage
MAF voltage
So I am trying to diagnose a p010b CEL. (Yes, I am going to clean my MAF and reset the ECU after seeing if the sensor is bad). I noticed in some other threads a mention of checking the MAF sensor voltage in obdfusion. I can not find this PID. What is it named ?
I use Torque Pro primarily, but use OBD Fusion for transmission temps so i am somewhat limited on it.
Anyway, i scanned the list of PIDs and i think it would be AFM Voltage (bank 1) (mV) and AFM Voltage (Bank 2) (mV). These are in the Nissan, Infiniti folder in the Engine Control Module section.
Keep in touch with what happens, i went through this for several years until i finally found a bad connector/wiring on Bank 1. Havent had a single problem in 3 months / 3,000 miles since changing the connector with an aftermarket pig-tail. From my experience, monitoring air flow (g/s) helped more than voltage as the air flow reading was much more sensitive to fluctations and splits (basically, there would be a 10%+ split on airflow but voltage would match). BTW, i cant find a bank 1 and bank 2 PID for airflow on OBD Fusion, but Tourque Pro has it if you purchase the Advance LT for Infiniti.
Hope this helps.

This issue happened to me after I had an accident. The only thing that cured it was a new ecm.
PS like ILM says connectors specifically these ones were not meant to last.
These are the same connectors for your accel pedal, VVEL sensors and MAF. You usually see the VVEL sensors and MAFs crap out before the others.
Really tiny terminals and dont like to be yanked (yet MAFs are the most commonly disconnected sensor in these cars.

MAFS were replaced with Z1 OEM sensors. I thought it was gone but I had a limp mode happen on a really cold night. I am starting to believe I have an 09 that needs the ecm update per https://infinitig37.com/TSB/ITB09-028.pdf. Before I go in I am going to try a heavy TB clean and clean my AFE filters really well then reset ECU and see what happens.
