New Dyno !!

March 6 Dyno
So this is last tune (for awhile) I'm getting ready to run the 1/4. Soon. I have Admintuning intakes, Z1 headers (jethotted) Z1hfcs, Motordyne Shockwave CBE. Quaife LSD 3.7 FD. Multiple other handling, cooling mods. We're expecting 12.6/12.8 range depending on how well I can launch/60ft time. In manual mode it is strong let me tell you... It's exciting!!

Looks like things start to peeter out st 6300rpm, are you running a vq35hr intake manifold?

I guess your referring to the torque, yes I have a stock V36 (G37) intake manifold.

HP is a function of TQ, so yes was referring to TQ. Was wondering if you had the 3.5 manifold, or what ever the aftermarket calls their overpriced ones.

I have to agree with Corprin, it looks like its falling off early. I run a ported HR plenum and it doesn't fall off till 7k, and even then only about 20ft/lbs before it tanks 7.5k. OP is losing about 40ft/lbs steady before he hits the wall.

That all said, those are nice numbers, can't wait to see the 1/4 mile times.

EDIT ADD: Unless this pull is to like 8k, then it seems more correct. I always suck at interrupting dyno data with speed instead of engine data.

Based on the distance between initial rolling and 5252 It looks like the TQ starts to falter earlier than I normally see with the stock vq37vhr plenum, hence my asking. But what do I know, right?

Idk, man. I did ask my tuner. He doesn't think an aftermarket plenum would do much unless I blow the motor or tt. I looked at my previous 2 tunes in the process the past few months. It's the same slight drop. My stock numbers were 268whp/238tq before the FBO. ACTUALLY, have been told my engine is strong, Moncef, tunes a lot of VQs , similar mods my G HAS+8WHP then any other NA FBO G37.
but thanks for pissing in my Cheerios

From base to now those are amazing gains, you do have a strong motor. I don't think anyone is trying to **** in anyone's breakfast, just point out something that seems out of place; your numbers do seem to drop a little early.

EDIT: Just thumbed through a bunch of VQ dyno sheets and its up in the air, some cars start dropping TQ like yours other hold onto it 500RPMs more. I am not finding a mod collation so I am tempted to say it's a tuning parameter.

Not trying to **** in your cornflakes. I am planning to push my car there and using other people’s graphs to figure out the mods I want. Your power is nothing to sneeze at for sure.

Since I have an auto an earlier peak torque is a good thing, so I was curious if you had done something to shift thenpower left on the graph. I keep reading about the 3.5 plenum does just that, and if you had it i’d Be more sold. Sorry if you took it the wrong way,

I'm not even sure what 3.5 plenum is. I have looked into Z1's and the AAM PLENUM but it's expensive with not much ROI. I did put some good$$$ into this so far but trying to keep it for awhile. When it starts feeling slow and have more cash. Probably will just go the SC ROUTE with injectors, fuel pump. But that another$10k
