Hypertech on your vert.

Has anyone successfully been able to use the hypertrch 62005 on their vert? I bought one used and had to do an update to the unit. Their tech support is saying that the ecu calibration is not allowing calibration download. Not sure if its specific to the vert but thought I'd ask.

2011 g37 vert base model.

It has been discussed ad nauseam, that those "chip" units really do not provide any real benefit (aka hp gains). A true tune, either UpRev or Ecutek (which I prefer) is the way to go.

This is everything I researched and then some.

You can mail your ECU to Z1 and they will do a reflash cheap ($300 not including shipping) or take yours to a local tuner and have them tune it with the software and a dyno and you and your wallet it will be much happier.

I know people have their opinions in hypertech but that was not the topic of the post.

Was just wondering if any other vert owners used the hypertech and had an issue getting it to read your calibration. The first time I tried it would not store the calibration file. I believe my issue was that I had the top down the first time I tried the 62005. Second time, I put the top up and it read the calibration just fine

Just an FYI to fellow vert owners.

Thanks

This should have been posted in the ECU Tuning / Dyno Data, subforum of the Engine, Drivetrain & Forced-Induction forum. The 'vert ECU is not different from the coupe or sedan other than monitoring for top in motion.
