MAF Sensors

I'm wondering if it is totally necessary to upgrade your MAF sensors when going turbo charged to the G, is their any head room in the std sensors for some tuning?
What has everyone else done here in that regard going forced?
Appreciate any feed back, thanks

If you getting tuned via Uprev and have plans on running more than 15lbs of boost iirc then you'll need to upgrade the mafs. If you are getting tuned via ECUTEK then you don't need to upgrade the mafs. Ecutek allows for speed density tuning which is done off of the map sensor.

Pong is correct. Turbocharged keeps the dual inlets. Some supercharged people had to switch to different MAFs because they use one charge pipe, which can sometimes exceed the stock MAF voltage.

I most likely will be going with Uprev, wont be going over 13lbs boost
, will the standard maf senors handle that?

It's like a hit or miss at that level. You're better off upgrading the mafs to be sure.

When we say upgrade, is this to some other OEM model or one of the aftermarket models? I don't plan on more than 10-12psi on Uprev and am keeping both pipes/MAF's.
