DYNO completely stock

Ok. As some of you know i am putting a GTM supercharger onto the vert. I am using the left over money i had from buying the car to get the supercharger. I am also getting an oil cooler. I'm also trying to get some rims with what is left... hint hint at someone on here
The supercharger is getting installed on oct 16th weekend... Nice enough of my wife to let me do this since it is our 5 year anniversary.
This may help answer a few questions as well. The guy did the dyno first in 3rd gear. I told him its supposed to be in 5th gear. He gave me that run for free. So i told him to do 4th gear for the next two pulls (since i see a lot of people doing dynos in 4th) and the last pull in 5th gear. MAnuals and autos 5th gear is 1:1 gear ratio. The first graph you can see each gear by the speed of the car. 2nd of course is the rpms that everyone knows.
Max HP 280 Tq: 240
I'm not complaining about those numbers at all, esp since they knocked our hp and tq numbers down by 5hp

Edit: I am installing the supercharger myself, and this car is completely stock. Nothing done to it.
Edit 2: 83.01 F / 29.66 in Hg / 43% humidity

Goodluck sir, always nice to see a baseline dyno. I am anticipating this, b/c I have yet to see some real numbers from this kit and it seems like most are hiding. The stillen has its issues, and the GTM doesnt seem to be reaching its numbers. Everyone has excuses, safe tune, overheating, tune wrong, waiting for the right pipe. Its good to see someone truly start with a stock baseline and do the install themselves and an install after. Kudos to you sir.

with GTM Supercharger, you should be able to fly, you would not need new wheels:>!
It's a nice undertaking... as DYI

Just make sure you dyno in the same gear AFTER the install, this whole 1:1 business isn't really accurate as your rear end has a ratio of 3.7:1 (no homo lol)

In for details on the SC install

Oh I will. I just did it seperate gear just to show a point that it really doesnt matter what gear. 5th is going to be testy as you will probably hit governor

Who is NOT doing a dyno in a 1:1 gear ratio? Doesn't matter what car or what transmission it is. For a proper dyno reading the car should be in whatever gear that the transmission input equals the transmission output (1:1).

Sure, for comparisons sake, you can dyno any gear you want for a before and after change. But it's still not accurate numbers.

Since when did read gears ever become a factor?

5th gear is the 1:1 ratio. On the stock ecu its possilbe the governor kicks in before the end to redline.

P&L motorsports in Franklin Park. It's an awd dyno too. They mostly deal with subys

That would be correct if your differential also had a 1:1 to ratio, since you're measuring output at the wheels and not at the output shaft of the transmission.

There are some dyno's that calculate power from torque, rather than measure it, those would be affected since wtq varies with gear ratios.

G37Sam is spot on. GTM is coming up with or now has a dyno to measure bhp instead of whp.
