Yes, I jacked up the motor from the oil pan with the use of 2x4 wood to distribute the weight evenly. Before jacking it up just to be on the safe side I loosened the y pipe bolts that connect to my test pipes, so I do not put too much stress on the flex pipes. Also when jacking it up make sure to watch your coolant hoses because they will be at their limit of being stretched. It is best to have a friend so they can jack it up slowly while you try to take out the motor mounts. You do not want to raise it more than it really needs or you can damage other components.
did you have to touch any transmission lines? Just read another thread guy said he did. Not sure why you would but just checking. I got my vibra-tech road race mounts already going to install when I can find the time.

I did not. Just make sure to lift it up slowly until you just barely have clearance to take the old mounts out. Because the coolant hose on the driver side will be at the most stress.

As to the 70a vs. 88a, I found this information at https://blog.edgeautosport.com/break...hing-stiffness

Here's just a snippet of what's on that website:

When shopping for the right bushings, consider the scale of the bushing rating, as well. For example, a bushing rating of 50 on the "D" scale is actually significantly stiffer than a 70 rating on the "A" scale. Make sure you take this into consideration. Most automotive bushings are rated on the A scale but it never hurts to make certain what you're looking into. Here is the durometer scale from Powerflex referred to earlier.

So, looking at Shore A & Polyurethane..... the 88a is stiffer that 70a.

Got my engine mounts in this last weekend.
You are right, very surprised at how easy they are to do after all the threads I read about it being difficult. If it wasn't for your post I probably wouldn't have done them.
Because of numerous mods I have, it required a lot more disassembly vs a stock car, but also gave me a chance to clean up a few things.
On a stock car I could probably do it again in about 1.5hours on and off jacks.
