speaking of this weekends dyno results...the 1/2" spacer proved good for 18rwhp gain and zero torque. The original gain was 12hp, but now that the car's computer is used to it, we found 6 more ponies this past weekend! That puts my car at 366rwhp/300ftlbs @ 5.7lb of boost. JD has the dyno pull on vid, but he'll have to post it...

Randy, my car has seem to adjusted to the Cats. It's stronger than it was originally. I want to dyno, but it seems it is much colder now than it was before when I dyno so that may skew the results.

The Dyno is suppose to compensate for the temperature difference. When they do a printout of your stock verses Hi-Flow cats. The 2nd sheet has the temperature conditions and the factor used in calculations.

JD is pretty thin, he needs some way to keep him warm.

The temp correction factors are very limited. They can calculate a relative DA, but of course cannot account for anythnig the ECU might be doing to adjust to temps; like pulling timing in the heat, for example.

I dyno'd in the summer in the heat; I dyno'd in november when it was 20 degrees cooler. Even after corrections, I saw some impressive gains, though I had added crawford cats and the car was more broken-in. But the biggest thing that changed was my car was running *much* leaner; in the summer dyno runs, the ecu was dumping pig amounts of fuel; when it was cooler, it was much leaner.

Just pointing out that atmo corrections don't tell the whole story

Sorry, realized ^^ was in the DFW forums. Sorry for intruding.

Ok I put the Y pipe on now. Bad news - they didn't dyno before so I have no idea what the cats did alone to my car. Im going to dyno after the exhaust is on. The exhaust will be here next Friday, so Im assuming by or on/after new years it will be on. Then im going to drive around a month and wait till February to dyno.

All I can say is - there is serious pull in 1, 2 gear. 3rd is okay but I can tell restriction from 80mm to 60mm midpipe is there.

Just with the cats alone 3rd gear pulled hard along with 4th gear. Cats alone with stock everything else is decent especially for $500.
