DFWCC.com
This is speaking from an enthusiast point of view:
1) Hard as hell to find the place. I looked it up on mapquest and took the service road couple of exist before to make sure I got there but still got lost b/c of the train tracks between the dealership and the service road. Had to do many U turns to get there.
2) Went through many dirt and gravel roads and thought at one point of killing myself to even put my new shoes/car through all of this and I just cleaned the car so my 2 hour quick bath session was a waste.
3) Was asked to pay $2 for admission but couldn't and felt embarrassed b/c I owned a G35 and was rocking almost 4 grand shoes and tried to explain to DFWCC. If you read the posts above I was misinformed and so I didn't bring any cash. Also invited a friend to come but he was stopped as well and had to ask el presidente to let him in. He came before me and waited fror me to borrow 2 dollars because I informed him that this would be a free meet.
3) The parking lot as small as hell and no lighting and barely any cars out there. Looked like a place behind a movie theater where skaters hung out. I got there at 9pm (1 hour after the website says it should start so I thought it'll be a good crowd.....more people were leaving than coming in)
4) They still wanted me to buy a membership even though they have nothing in writing about the benefits of being a member or the discount specifics.
Overall the "carshow" was bunk. I didn't think it was worth my time and/or even the proposed 2 dollars or even 20 for that matter. What they say in realty "location, location, location" is key....they are right. If DFWCC wants to make big events or have many members, they need better resources like America Best Coffee/Costco or Hooters. Their organization name is DFW Car club....well the place we went to couldn't fit 1/4 of DFW's car clubs.
I am honestly just venting here and this vent is NOT directed at anybody/anyone/or any group. I just want other members to know my experience I had tonight. Goodnight.
