Hey y'all, I don't think I've seen this set up done anywhere, so I figured I'd do a write up in case anyone has the same issue.
TL;DR: Get a Mishimoto dual oil catch can and intake plugs instead of any other PCV delete. Links to everything at the end!
This whole job started when I'd get intermittent P0106 codes (MAP sensor [manifold absolute pressure/baro sensor range/performance]) on my 2011 G37 Journey 7AT. I'd read that you can either replace the MAP, or try cleaning the throttle bodies, so I opted to try the latter, cuz cheaper 😂
When I was taking my OEM intake hoses off, the brittle plastic cracked, because I live in Arizona. I replaced them with Mishimoto's silicone intakes (with the OEM air boxes). The fit was a little tight (maybe user error) but they look mean as hell, and they're not too spendy, highly recommend!
While I was installing the new intake hoses, my PCV/intake resonators (still not sure the correct name) started to crumble as well. I've been thinking of doing a PCV delete for years for the sake of the throttle bodies, and this just sealed the deal.
If you're running stock intake boxes and don't want to mount anything to your firewall/frame, I BELIEVE the Mishimoto dual baffled oil catch can kit is the only one that fits on stock platforms, so that's what I went with.
I haven't verified this, but I think if you're running a cold air intake, you can use the Z1 dual catch can kit and save a lil money!
Either catch can kit will replace the lines directly connected to the two PCV valves on the front sides of the valve cover, which route into the front of the intake manifold. The Mishimoto kit directly bolted to the frame with existing bolts, which was SUPER nice, and install was a breeze, I really love this kit!
To delete the PCV resonators (if your intake hoses have the vacuum line attached, e.g. OEM or Mishimoto), you'll need to plug the intake inlets, and the rear ports on the valve cover.
For the intake inlets I used Concept Z Performance's 16mm billet aluminum PCV plugs, and they fit PERFECT! I can't recommend them enough; their customer service and shop were sick, and the part was super cheap!
Finally for the rear ports on the valve cover, I bought a kit by Dorman of assorted vacuum caps from O'Reilly's, but I assume you can just buy two ⅝” inside diameter vacuum caps, and either tie them off with zip ties, or the OEM spring clamps. I opted for zip ties, but am keeping the OEM clamps just in case those fail.
Overall I'm REALLY happy with the results! Using this method cleaned up my engine bay, will keep my throttle bodies/intake manifold much cleaner, and won't vent crankcase gasses/oil into my engine bay, which is a huge plus!

Nice writeup. Note that if you live in CA, PCV bypasses and catch cans are now a target for emissions inspection stations.
Went through emissions a few weeks back and the tech spent alot of time under the car and in the engine bay with a spotlight "looking". When I asked what the hot buttons are for the state, he said this year its catch cans.

Thank you! Yeah, on the Z1 listings for half of these products they say they're not CARB legal and/or for sale in California 😔 Arizona is a lawless wasteland though 😂
