Serpentine belt tensioner pulley is needed
Hows it going everyone. i have a 2009 g37x with some squeaking problems in the engine bay that i suspect is coming from the tensioner pulley. The issue is i dont need the whole assembly, just the pulley. does anyone know the part number for a tensioner pulley that fits my car or what cars share the same pulley as my g37. thank you!
You might just need the bearing.
if you can't find a nissan part number, just get the numbers off the bearing itself.
But really, once it's squealing, I'd replace the entire tensioner assembly and the belt too.
And keep the old parts as spares

Nissan does not sell just the "tensioner" pulley and I can not say for sure if any of the "idler" pulley's would work. New pulley's come with a bearing already pressed into the bore. If your old bearing is failing then you would need access to a hydraulic press to press out the old/in the new bearing (yes there are backyard mechanic methods but...). This assumes you could find a suitable replacement in the first place and does not factor in at all the downtime.
Remove the belt and spin EACH pulley by hand. The pulley's should spin freely and as smooth as silk. Any resistance, roughness, or grinding indicates a potential bearing failure and should be replaced.
OEM p/n's for 2009 (pulley p/n's changed in 2014 for the VQ37VHR due to different bolt sizes):
Tensioner Assembly: 11955-1EA9D
"Smooth" Idler Pulley: 11925-EY00A
"Grooved" Idler Pulley: 11925-JK20D
OEM Belt 11720-EY00B
It is likely safe to assume that your tensioner is original to the engine and therefore 12/13 years old. Save yourself a lot of time, money, and potential aggravation and just replace the tensioner assembly if it is deemed necessary.
