I am currently in the process of rebuilding my G37 and currently missing a small box that is part of the hood lock control. I cannot find this part no matter where I look, I was hoping not to have to buy the entire mechanism. If anyone has any helpful information that'd be great, thanks. Trying to find the part outlined in red.
That part code (65680) comes up as a "Protector- Hood Lock Control."
The part number is 65626-JK00A and is:
$34.56 (discountinfinitiparts.com)
$50.82 (parts.infinitiusa.com) or
$40.66 (eBay)
Prices as of 24 October 2021.
As always, verify before you buy!
Hope this helps.

I appreciate the help, this is originally which part I also thought it was and purchased it a while back. However, that is just the cover for the part that I need. I outlined in red in the original picture the part I need but it has no part number. I still cannot find its part number put I do believe I found a picture of it. It's the part that holds the actual cables and the tension. I don't know if I have to buy all new cables to get the part or what. I think this was off a q50 but I believe its the same part
Gotcha. Upon further checking of different parts catalogs, in order to get one of those "tensioner(?)" pieces new you will have to buy the whole release cable. You can see in the attached pic from the catalog that it is combined with the release cable and not available separately:
(p/n: 65620-JL01A) which will run approx. $120-180.
Now, that said, I did find this piece on eBay
which seems to be the part you are looking for and it only costs $20.01. Perhaps the seller can provide additional pictures with different angles to verify this is it.
EDIT 2 Nov 2021: disregard eBay link. Item has since been sold.

Great find @ILM-NC G37S
I believe that is the correct one since I'm rebuilding mines. I might have an extra one and these are a bit hard to find since they disintegrate upon crashes and most folks will not want to part with it because it affect the operation of the cable itself.
A full hood cable goes from $100-150 and without this is garbage. I have an extra one but don't want to part with it. Jump on that one.
