Do you think these would be a better option for the cone style filter? They should be a little bigger than the 2990's you ordered. I'd imagine these are pretty close to the size of the Stillen Filters..

If you think these fit I think I am going to go ahead and order my takeda intake
or the 2790 like he was going to do

I installed the takeda intake a few months ago. I just used the filter provided. I subbed mainly for when I need to replace the filter, I can find the thread again. I couldn't see spending another 100+ bucks just on a filter.

now - also placed the tube tabs behind the bracket to get more clearance from the grill.

So with this much time passed, what's your overall experience with the dual intakes? Would you do it all over again? Anything you would do differently? I'm about to order the Takeda and might as well do this at the same time.

Love it. Wouldn't change the dual filters at all. This weekend at a dyno day I finally was able to hear the intakes over the exhaust and they sound great!

I've also been driving around in the rain a lot lately with no guard and haven't had any issues. But of course while is raining I don't drive had thinking it will reduce the chance of sucking water past the soaked front. I'm thinking the air intake would come in trough the less water logged parts of the filter.
