Push Button Start from Q50

Has anyone tried installing the push button start from the Q50 in the G37 yet? I had to drop off my G at the dealership recently for a warranty repair and they gave me a Q50 as a loaner and I noticed how much better the button looked. I never cared for how the push start button looked on our cars and it's the same button as the one in my sister's Altima. It seemed so cheap and out of place. I was thinking about the red button from the GTR but it seemed too flashy for me. The Q50's start button is the same size as ours but the actual button is smaller because it's surrounded by a textured plastic ring.

I don't think Q50 looks better than G37. GTR is the way to go:

DAMMIT! Now you have me thinking I need this this push button mod!

Time for some research...I need to stop reading these forums and being so compulsive with mods.

I’m wondering if some our rebadging enthusiasts would go one step further and replace their current trunk badges with Q50 (or Q40) lettering.

LOL. I've had the same problem with other mods from this forum. There's one other mod that's been on my mind after driving the Q50 and that's it's pop up moonroof wind deflector. Ours came with a aluminum bar held on by two plastic pieces, the Q50 has a solid plastic piece that has notches and is quite quiet when the moonroof is open even at freeway speeds.

I still prefer the Q50 over the GTR's start button. The red is just too flashy for me, it doesn't match anything else in the car. I just want a more muted look and I like how the Q50 button color and words are inverted in color compared to the original. If I had a anniversary edition with the red seats or a IPL I would consider it. To each their own.

Lol it matches a ton of stuff, all the electronics is red. It certainly looks better than white which definitely doesn't match anything unless you have later model with white leds. I agree to each their own, was just trying to help.

I have a 2011 and all the LEDs are either white or purple. There isn't red but we do have amber light indicators on the aircon controls like the other years before and after. The inverted color scheme to me seems more premium than sporty which is what I'm after. It's as close as we can get to a metal embossed start button that other manufacturers use.

After searching the Q50 forums, I think I answered my own question. Some Q50 owners are interchanging their start button with the GTR button. So if they are able to put the GTR button on theirs and we are able to put it on ours, I'll assume it should work the other way as well.

This thread interested me, my brother has a new Q50 and I do like his button ours (G37S) is very similar to the Altima after looking the the GTR and G37 back portion of the switch you will notice that the Q has a different plug witch would require de pinning or using a Q pig tail... After looking at all three GTR for me another option is the nismo fair lady Z red red ring
