DIY painted GTR tails (sedan)
#16
1 can of Nightshades is enough, just be sure you store it at room temp overnight prior to using. And I can't stress this enough, use a quality clear coat, the three I mention in the DIY are great ( Evercoat Cut-in-Clear, Spraymax 2k cut-in-clear, or the Dupont Clear A-7480) all these are MUCH better than the Krylons, Duplicolor, etc.
I still supply the vinyls cutouts, but only for the Sedans, it's $11 paypal, just shoot me a PM if you're interested, it makes the job a lot easier w/ best results.

Anyone using any of these professional grade clear coats, look out for Isocyanates. If the label says they are there, such as the USC Spraymax® 2k, make sure you wear an appropriate chemical respirator. Isocyanates are seriously bad for your health and need to have the proper precautions taken when using them.

Can you repost the images. They don't display in your original post. Any pics of your GTR style tail lights would be greatly appreciated.

I have 3/4 completed using this DIY . I'd have it completed but the clear coat sat weird and made bubbles. Stripped it and tried to re-apply but had boil like bubbles appearing. Stripping it all and starting over. Luckily, it's only on one of the smaller trunk lid lights.
Thanks for the inserts (sent in December lol) really capture a different look other than full blown tinted tails. Really anxious to get them on.
