TEASER! ... Lemans Sunset Akebono Brake Calipers.*
Look what I did today .... Teaser,... Flame on!

Been trying to pick a paint color for a while. Finally decided to go with 2003 Nissan 350z Lemans Sunset.
I'll have more pictures soon once I finish ... only did the front calipers today because I ran out of paint for the rears, but I can already tell this is a total transformation. This paint turned out great in person and in the sunlight you can really see the metallic flakes.
-----------------------------------------
Steps to paint your own calipers:
What you'll need:
- Simple Green
- Microfiber towel
- 600 grit sand paper
- Painters tape
- Plastic shopping bag
- Hair dryer
- Stickers
- 2 12oz base coat paint cans
- 1 12oz clear coat can.

1. Spray calipers with Simple Green solution and wipe down with microfiber to remove dust and grime.
2. Lightly scuffed caliper surface all around with 600 grit sand paper.
3. Wipe down with moist microfiber cloth from step 1.

4. Tape off bleeder valve, brake pad openings, and bolts with painters tape.
5. Cover rotor with plastic bag and tape in place.

6. Begin spraying paint in even coats covering all areas of the caliper. Continue this step until all surfaces are equally covered. Allow time to dry in between coats.

7. Allow 20 mins for final coat to dry and cure. You can use a heat gun/hair dryer to help cure the paint.

8. Apply sticker of choice to the caliper paint delicately.

9. Begin spraying clear coat to the calipers, use light coats. Apply 3-4 coats until shiny allowing time to dry between coats.
10. Once dry, be carefully when putting the wheels back on as it will take a few days for paint to fully cure.
