Got my new bezel from Circle Infiniti and got the dealership to install it. It took them about 30 min. Looks good as new now. They charged me 1/2 hr labor $57.00

But it was worth it for me just to save me some time.

This write-up definitely saved me a stack of cash doing it myself. I have to admit, I was scared to death the airbag would go off somehow while I was handling it. The steering wheel looks great now. If only infiniti would release similar trim for the doors and console, that would be nasty.

Infiniti Parts - Infiniti parts

Here is the direct website for owners with black trim and bluetooth buttons. This was a great find, thanks so much!

Some people have been asking about torque specs for the (re)install. I whipped this up from the manual (make sure you read the torque specs correctly: one is in "in-lbs" and the other in "ft-lbs"!)

I tried to look up the part number for those torx bolts but they don't seem to be listed. Any Infiniti parts gurus out there?

It mostly takes patience and some carbon fiber vinyl. Here are the materials you need. If you need more info, there are also a lot of vinyl wrapping videos available on youtube as well that might provide extra hints.

Don't have the exact part number, but found it on the infiniti parts site. $0.82 each: here (part #3 steering wheel bolt)

Dealership (nissan or infiniti) should have these on hand too.

A+ on this DIY man. my 08 had these issues and I brought it in to infiniti of coconut creek in so.fl and the swapped the entire wheel out (airbag, wheel, controls, bezel, everything) under the warranty. crazy. I know it will happen again someday and now that im out of the warranty I will be returning to this thread to see how to replace the $7 part. thanks man. good work!

p.s. carbon fiber overlay - so sick
