Ah it aint nothing but a thin breaker bar/socket wrench with attachments necessary for typical belt tensioners.
Changed mine today. Highly recommend you get serpentine kit. I used my breaker bar but had to remove filter box for more room. Use serpentine belt kit to avoid hassle. Finish belt routing on pulley shown.. Makes ur life better

Replaced my belt again. This time I replaced w dealership belt. Had the advance auto part belt, Dayco Carquest. Had it for 3k & it didn't seem smooth or quiet. So far I like da dealership belt. FYI.. Go get one now cause they are trying to raise price. I paid $66 + tax.
Also get serpentine belt tool kit at harbor freight for $13 & change w 20% coupon. Didn't want to hassle w tool rental/loan. Highly recommend it. So much easier than breaker bar.

There are groves that show the tensioner is within range when you release it. Once it goes outside of that range good idea to change it. If it is within the range should be fine....
Is this what u referring to??
Mines is right at border/line. What will cause it to get out of line or go bad? Just replaced belt again.

Got my OEM belt on ebay for $45. Part # 11720EY00B. Have not put it on yet. Almost 90K on the original belt so far, still looks to be in very good condition, no noise.
Car is a tad over 6 years old (11/2011 build date), 31K miles. Original belt doesn't look too bad. No cracks. From an age point, I think it's time to replace. Will likely go oem for longevity. Thoughts?
