Yep, that's all it is. Not sure if it has more filtering capacity or what not but it does the trick

What do you need pictures of? I figured the videos were pretty idiot proof.

I don't need them. I am sure I can change the oil like I did my 05 G35 Sedan. Just didn't know if pics would be helpful for someone else.

Excellent presentation.
I had the first 2 oil changes done at the dealership, since they were free. Starting in July, I intend to do my own periodic maintenance, which I've always done on prior vehicles.
I'm sure this should be of great value to owner's that have never personally serviced their vehicles.
One of the things you mentioned about not overly tightening the drain bolt or the filter should benefit them.
People that over tighten these items pay the price the next time they service the car and have to break them loose.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I think it'll help some beginners as well.

is it really necessary to change the washer? I have been changing my own oil for a long time and have never do so, unless the washer itself was damaged. I am sure the washer is cheap, so that is not a concern, but just wanted to know if anyone had an issue by not changing the washer.

I've done about 3 changes using the same one, so it's really up to you if you think you need to change it. Wouldn't hurt to do it every once in a while at least.

I changed the oil on my G37X today. The X engine splash shield has an open hole in the cover that you can undo the drain plug from. It also has a flap that opens by removing two 10 mm bolts. This gives you access to the oil filter. I took the whole shield off so that I could clean it and the bottom of the engine, didn't take long as I used an air ratchet. Next change I'm going to try just removing the two flap bolts.
