Hose nozzle recommendation?

Washed the coupe yesterday afternoon and jeans got fairly wet from my hose nozzle leaking. The one I have isn't cheap, believe it came from Home depot, it is adjustable, has a ring to switch from center, mist, shower, jet, etc. Pretty handy since I use it for various purposes. But it leaks just like the old one did from the ring you turn to adjust it. Willing to pay a few bucks to get one that does not leak. Any recommendations on one that is adjustable and does not leak?
Thanks

Funny, but I think about this question a lot. And over the decades I find myself buying a new hose nozzle at least every two years, if not every year. Some work better than others, and they just don't seem to hold up. However the time between buying them is always so long, that I don't have it fresh in my head what I like or don't like. And then standing in the isle at Lowes, staring about half a dozen options, I seem to always cheapen out. If this is you too... hello, brother. LOL

This winter, I spent a little time online trying to up my nozzle game, and recently bought this guy from Amazon. Granted, I still haven't used it yet, but that's the nozzle I bought. I'm looking at it right now. It's mocking me, saying, "Come wash the car, it will be fun."

That one on Amazon does have good reviews, I'll probably end up with it or one of the others they show in it's listing.
Would be nice to have one that did not leak and dribble on me.
Washed the coupe a few days ago as I said, back half of black car now covered with green pollen. East Tennessee.
Car has not left the garage since I washed it, but garage door has been open some. Geez!

I've always used something like this:

with antiseize on the threads and a good rubber Oring instead of the plastic flat gasket they come with. I save the fancy nozzles for the shower heads LOL.

Having said that, my daughter has a plastic Hippo-faced toy nozzle on the back-of-house hose, and it's rusted / galled on so that hose is toast. But it works OK for the garden area /back patio.

I do not like this nozzle. The only setting that is noteworthy is the jet, and that's freakishly good, for some reason. But I don't wash the car with the jet. I much prefer the "shower" setting, and the shower setting on this nozzle sucks.

Back to the drawing board, looking for a better nozzle again.

I looked at the one on Amazon, I need something more adjustable. Besides washing the car, I use this for watering, hosing the dog off a little if he is too dirty to go in the house, etc. The adjustable ones are very handy, just wish they didn't leak around the adjuster ring. I'm still checking some out. If I find something wonderful, I'll throw up a post.

I like this style. I've had a few brands and none of them leak.

Rubber coated to protect the car from accidental contact.

Got this few years ago from walmart. There's a quick release (similar to hose fitting) fitting and an on/off switch making swapping nozzles easy.

I think that's called à firehouse nozzle. I wonder... I'm wanting a decent shower setting.

The shower setting is really nice on mine. They are on Amazon for $15-$20. Do not buy the $100 Griots model.LOL.

Suprisingly, to me anyway, I ran across this old post of mine. I started getting my nozzles from Ace Hardware and never thought about it again, those have been no issue.

I have the fire hose style because those are less prone to leaking and handy here in CA to impede the progress of potential fires, but I hate all of the twist action that's required to find the right setting.

Wish a high quality old school nozzle was still available where you increase pressure by squeezing harder (decided to try the one show below based on some good reviews):
