Rust

Hello everyone,

Does anyone see rust on their oldernG37x (around 2010) model?

Mine has a small bubble above the wheel well. Does anyone oil spray the car? Krown?
I live in toronto, canada so we see some harsh winters similar tonplaces like Chicago, est.

Some repair tips would be good or oil spray recommendations top.

Thanks

My trunk and roof have little dimples of rust, but my subframe was where it was at.. Used rust converter by some Canadian tire brand.

I'm just west of you, Burlington! We ran out of salt this year and started using beet juice. No, I'm not kidding...

Subframe rust.

Hi.
2009 G37x coupe.230,000 km’s,about 140,000 miles.
Thought it was time for new suspension,it’s never been done.
My mechanic, not dealership, but licensed, said my front subframe is severely rusted and rear subframe pretty rusted also.
He suggested I use the dealership for repairs.
Has anyone had to replace their subframes?
I’m in Dundas/Hamilton Ontario, sand and salt on roads.

i haven’t been to the one up the mountain, but the one at oakville is usually pretty good (Just down the QEW) I haven’t gotten service there but parts have been generally ok there. Me personally, I’d buy the subframes and try to do the work myself (just replaced a brz rear subframe due to an accident) of course it depends how mechanically inclined you are

subframe rust.

I’ll book an appointment with Oakville.
A place in Toronto where I got some other work done quoted $1600 labour alone.
Gonna be a costly one.

dealer quote

Oakville Infiniti quoted $6100 to replace the subframes.About half parts, half labour.
I’m going to Toronto for another estimate.

I went to a place in Toronto I had dealt with previous and they said I only need the K frame, under $1000.
Screw the stealership.
