Clear Bra

I am having an XPEL Clear Bra installed on the front bumper of my 2013 37X.

Anybody have any experience w/the XPEL product?

I hear it doesn't yellow like 3M does.

I'm getting my bumper did once I get it repainted.

My reason for choosing this product was the long warranty period (10 years) plus my research revealed very positive reviews in addition to the fact that it should not yellow. We shall see.....

Just make sure to use a reputable installer. Hopefully one where you've seen sample work.

Whats the average price to have your entire bumper done?
I'm getting my bumper refinished and considering getting installed.

I paid $650 for my bumper. Not cheap. But I bought this car, not a lease. I want to have it for many years to come. I love it so far.

I'm having the Xpel self-healing product installed (Sedan) next week on the bumper/front fascia and headlights only. $450 cash is the cost and the installer comes highly recommended. Question: for another $250, I can include the bikini hood, door handles and rear bumper (flat portion along the top). My thinking is that the extra areas are not needed. Has anyone else included these in their clear bra install? There is another level where they will include all of the above plus completely cover the hood and front fenders, but my thinking here is that this is overkill for a daily driver. In reality, dealers should just offer the clear bra as a dealer installed option on the front fascia and headlights since these areas take the most abuse in day to day driving. When I bought my 04 sedan, this was the case (3M product, it yellowed after about 3-4 years), but with the 2013, they did not want to deal with it.

i've been contemplating doing such work to my baby as well. being from nyc you should just SEE my front and rear bumpers....animals dont know how to park -___-
your quotes sound about right, but i wouldnt include the extra small pieces like the door handles. shrugs, just my 2cents.
otherwise i'd definitely go through with it! Goodluck with everything!

I had supposedly 3M film on my 2004 Subaru WRX and it started yellowing and showing fine lines after only 3 years. Took it all off and have only had a few tiny rock chips show up in the 5+ years since. All of my family's post-2005 cars have pretty sturdy paint and I've never felt a need to use it again unless you must parallel park a lot. You can repaint the entire bumper for $600.

I would only consider doing the headlights (plastic wears and is not easy to refinish) or door handles (likely to get scratched from handling).
