Plastic interior scratches

Hey guys, I have a few very light surface scratches on my airbag. They are not deep, just slightly scuffed surface plastic/rubber. What can be done to make it look ok?

I have seen people use a heat gun, would that work?

Airbag? Plastics need to be filled in or sanded down then repainted.

I have a guy in San Diego that can make interior scratches vanish. He mixes up compound to match, then sands and buffs till it looks like the original finish. He can also work wonders with carpet and leather seats as well.

I actually found him through the Honda dealer as the dealers use these craftsman to take tired old used cars and return them to CPO status. They will also have a wheel guy they use, door ding guy, etc.

The problem with the heat gun is that it will make the area that was heated be shinier than the area that was left alone. You could compensate by always keeping a protectant on it to keep everything shiny, but I'm not sure if that's the best solution...

My guy uses what looks like putty matched to the color of the plastic. He then recreates the texture of the existing plastic so in blends well.
