warranty coverage for scratches

warranty coverage for scratches

im new so forgive if I did this incorrectt im buying a 2011 g37x with factory warranty. it has scratches on the vinyl on passenger door, scratches on shifter bezel aluminum, and scratches on aluminum on driver door..can I have tehse replaced udner warranty and what should I say to achieve this?<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

No. You can ask nicely and some dealerships my help you out with it in the interest of customer goodwill. That is considered wear or damage and not covered. But some owners have had some luck getting some things replaced. The scratches on the steering steel bezel comes to mind.

How bad

Post some pictures. The interior parts can be painted pretty easy or vinyl wraped. The handle could probably be buffed out.

Like Betty said, it pretty much depends on your relationship at the dealer. The finish on the chrome trim piece on the rear trunk lid of my car was damaged when I took receipt of the car and the dealer offered to replace it at no charge when they were going through their 'new car prep' process a week later, which for me included a clay bar session followed by two coats of polish. This is why I'm a firm believer of the "Cast your bread upon the water" philosophy when it comes to dealerships.
