Clay and Wax process

Time to clay and wax....What a difference claying makes. Oh!!! Does anyone know if there are any negatives to regular claying before each waxing.

You're supposed to clay twice a year.

if you use a soft clay (like a Pinnacle ultra fine poly clay ) you can clay as often as you want and it will not hurt.
Pinnacle’s Ultra Poly Clay is the single finest clay composition available today. Use auto Detailing clay to deep clean car paint, glass and chrome.
If you are using a more aggressive clay than you are removing all wax, paint sealant etc every time you clay. It is also VERY important to use a good clay lubricant when you clay as well.
I use the Pinnacle clay every two weeks on my car with the Pinnacle clay lube. . I also use the Wolfgang 3.0 paint sealant every other month and I wax every other wash with either Pinnacle Signature Series or Wolfgang Fusion. I use Pinnacle and Wolfgang products exclusively so they stack nicely together. My paint looks so deep and the surface finish is so smooth. I have so much protection on my car that it makes washing easier! Not to mention it helps protect the paint from bird droppings and other fall out.
If you are looking to keep your paint healthy, keep up the clay, but add in a good paint sealant and then use a good wax that is free from cleaners or polishes.

Here’s a simple test that will indicate whether or not you need to clay.

After washing and drying your vehicle place a plastic sandwich bag over your hand or fingers, gently pass over the surface. Does the surface feel silky smooth or rough and gritty? If you felt roughness and/or grit, your surface is contaminated.
