clear bra for G37?

I am in the market for a G37 coupe and had a few questions regarding the clear bra.

I have looked around and have heard that the paint is "weak" or "soft" and chips easily so a clear bra might be a good investment.

the car I am looking at is slate blue, which as you know is pretty dark. will a clear bra be noticeable, is it recommended on darker colors?

How much should one run with installation, if I wanted to do the front end? (like the area of a normal black bra)

Where is the best place to get one? Does an infiniti dealer do it for you? I know the brands are 3M and ventureshield and maybe some others... but do they have an installation shop?

Should I definitely get one, or face serious chipping? I have driven 70,000 miles in my current car (Mazda 6) and while I do have some chips, it isn't too bad

Average cost about $100 a tint shop offers it, my Infiniti Dealership did too for $225 as for the paint being Weak or Soft? Not that I know of ... my G is Black and still under a year New.. no chips no issues...
Its on you if you want or need one... Area? Traffic meaning your DD to work etc..

I travel Northern yet Southern CA and a few trips to Vegas still no issue though avoid being behind anyone.

Good luck...

I only drive about 5 miles to work and there is no speed limit above 35, but I do go to Long Island and sometimes New Jersey from Connecticut, which consists of the wonderful I-95. especially in the new york region where the roads completely suck

for $225 I would definitely do it though I thought they ran $500+

I have one and it's almost completely unnoticeable, although if you look very closely you can see a tiny little line where the bra ends. Completely worth it imo. My Civic didn't have one and had literally hundreds of tiny chips on the front end.

Don't use 3M or the expensive xpel film. I have it on my car with suntek film that heals swirl marks. Did my full hood, full fender, full bumper, and side sills. What a difference. Mine has no lines shown.

Pics are on Facebook.com/631coatings

thanks mayor. I actually googled best clear bra install shops and 631 coatings (Executive Paint Protection) came up as a highly praised shop. it seems to be $399 for the materials + installation for something like half of the hood+fender+mirrors. May I ask how much it ran you for the installation?

I'm also interested in getting a clear bra but the dealership advised against it because they said that it is pretty noticeable and its not that expensive to just repaint the bumper. Does anyone have any pics of it on their cars up close?
