came back from the dealership to find this...
I got my car back from the dealership yesterday and found this on the passenger seat. It is on the left side. I got lojack installed that the dealership. i have no idea what it is. It looks like the leather aged 5 years. At first there were oil marks on my door handles like on one of the pictures but i just wiped them away with my finger. On the seat, there was this mark. At first i thought it might have been the oil so i tried to wipe it away but it did not go away so i tried to use water to get it off and still it stayed.
I got an email back from the dealership saying that the seats were covered with plastic and so was the steering wheel and there is no way they did that.
They told me to bring it in so they can take a look at it. Here are some pics.
it is the white spot. I am attaching links from imageshack and also just attachments.

The one on the door is a water mark. Get some leather cleaner and press pretty hard on the area when you are cleaning it. The water dried in the perforations and causes the discoloration. At least on the door, it is temporary, and merely needs to be cleaned with a quality leather cleaner.
Regarding the seats.. I can't see it, they look fine to me.

Damp cloth is actually one of the better ways to clean our seats. The leather has a urethane coating and when you keep oil on it, it just traps dirt that ends up causing abrasion on the urethane surface.
I see the white spot but it almost looks like a smear? Maybe something is on top of the leather. How does it feel?

The marks on the door was just oil, I got that off easily. The part on the seat is something I dont want to mess with until the dealership takes a look at it. I have an appointment on thursday and they said they will take a look at it. I tried a damp cloth to wipe it away on the seats but it stayed there, I did not put too much pressure or anything on it. I didnt want to mess with it since I dont know how to handle leather but I will go to the dealership on thursday and update you guys. For those who cant see it, mike24 pointed it out. Looks like a glare but is not.

Assuming this is not a heavy scuff (it actually looks like a glare in the pics), and if the dealer is not willing to take care of it, I can tell you how to clean it but the chemicals will cost you a little bit. However, it's probably something worth investing in for future leather care/keeping your leather looking new for many years to come. If you trust the dealer to clean it properly, let them do it since it's their screw up but ultimately you should buy some decent leather cleaner and protectant.
Like I mentioned, I can help you with that part (fact of the matter is most people don't properly care for their car leather, even those who are fairly versed in detailing, and treat it like they would a leather sofa. However, it's actually quite different and requires a different type of care regimine if you want them to retain the look and feel they had from day one)
Did you take it back to the dealer to show them how they handled your car? You should so they can get it cleaned for you at no cost. Also it will put them on notice the next time you take the car in that you don't like that kind of treatment as a paying customer. Good luck.

So just got back from the dealership and guess what I found out! it was just hairspray!!!!
So happy nothing damaged the seat. I didn't touch my car all weekend and let no one sit there and today when I went to school I touched it again and it was rock hard this time. I thought the leather dehydrated somehow. After class I took it to the dealership and they tried to clean it first. Since I tried to just lightly clean it with water and it wouldnt come off, I thought something must have happened to the seat but when the technician tried to clean the set, he used something called solution x???? No idea what that is, but it did the trick, it just took it off right away and he touched it and said it was hair spray or hair gel. I know that no one that sits in my car wears hair gel, not even my girlfriend so I guess when the lojack guy installed the device, he must have touched his hair on the seat by accident. That might have been the reason why it was not hard the first day I got my car back and it became so hard 2-3 days later.
