I don't recommend using a pressure to actually wash the dirt off of your car, just for applying the foam.

It's not really necessary and you can do damage if you're not careful. Unless its just a light film of dust you probably need to hand wash.

Use the pressure washer to spray off the surface dust/dirt. It's much better than dragging a wash mitt/sponge over caked dirt on the paint. The less build up on the surface before you make contact, the better and less chance you have to drag micro scratches into the clear coat.

I purchased the Meguiars Dual Action Polisher and love it. I was new to detailing so based on reviews that polisher seemed like the best fit for me. Love it! Got the hang of it after a couple details and it worked like a charm with LC 6.5" pads. Helped remove swirls and scratches from my BO Coupe that were rampant when I purchased her from the dealer. You won't be disappointed in that polisher.

Mine even came with a bag from detailed image.

^ Nice.

Just wondering how do i know if a foam lance attachment is compatible with a certain pressure washer? Test fitting adapters seems like a pain.

Costco has Karcher pressure washers between $149-$199 and occasionaly they are $99-$129 on sale. I think currently they have a $149 one which is the same as the one I have.

In store price is $149. Costco - Kärcher 2000 PSI Electric Pressure Washer

I just got my electric pressure washer yesterday. Needless to say, I should have got a gas one. Didn't impress me at all, and it had good reviews.

Decided not to go with karcher mainly because of the plastic joints for the diff lance attachments. Because its plastic, the wear and tear comes much quicker... Looking for something thats got metal lance, atleast that way i know the threads that screw the attachmentment on are metal as well. But it seems that GAS operated washers are the only way to go for the metal lances...
