I ordered the KH3 (nissan black color code) Dr.CC stuff for my BO G coupe the other day. It came within like 2-3 days of ordering. I had some time to give it a shot while my G was clean the other day, so I thought I'd post some pics and observations.

My front bumper is peppered pretty bad from the highway. I don't drive close to people, but most people understand the fragile nature of our paint so it's not exactly something we can avoid if we did not get a clear bra. I got my car with 10k on it, so I basically already missed the boat on getting clear bra anyway.

I did not end up filling all of the chips with this stuff, because I quickly realized it would have been too much work. Getting up close to the chips makes you realize how bad the bumper really gets hit and how much needs to be covered.

I initially started covering quite a bit, but when I went to wipe the paint off, I realized I went on a bit too thick, and it was going to take a while for the solution to wear the paint down around the chip. This is why they tell you to smear it really well--thinner layers of smeared paint wipe off a lot easier than thicker ones. I got the biggest kit they offered due to the severity of chips on my bumper, and I'd say that I covered about 30% of them while focusing on most of the big ones. I used less than a quarter of the solution stuff, which is basically what you're going to run out of first. You will basically never run out of the paint they give you for chips, no matter what size you buy. It's all about the solution to wipe it off.

All in all, I think it's a decent product. It definitely helped make some of my larger chips much less noticeable.

 

Looks like it did a pretty decent job. Was it a difficult process?

 

It's pretty easy, but it ramps up when you realize you have so many little chips and not a whole lot of patience.

- I went over spots I wanted to touch up with rubbing alcohol and a microfiber to clear off any wax residue
- Dabbed some paint on the included brushes (they give you 3 different sizes)
- Touched up spots and smeared down/up with my thumb after applying the paint
- Let paint dry for a while
- Apply solution to provided cloth and wipe off the smeared paint around the chips

 

Looks pretty good. It took me forever to wipe the paint off when I did my bumper. I tried to do thin layers but still took a lot of elbow grease to get it done
