Use goo gone automotive...do a search and you'll find a bunch of methods people have used.

What they said, but another tip from experience. Use a hair dryer and if you use goo gone or something similar, clean the paint with cleaner wax and re-coat of carnuba wax to protect the paint. Pics when you are done.

Or, add to the forum and post a do it yourself.

Goo Gone is a safer than most. I've heard of people using 3M's Adhesive Remover and it stained the paint.

That's the first time in many years I've heard of 3M staining paint as its considered a 'safe' solvent...

Don't quote me on it. I've never used it myself.

Keep in mind the chemical resistance of the clearcoat comes into play here, as well as how aggressive the solvent being used is. The vast majority of clears, whether OEM or aftermarket (used in body shops) have poor to average chemical resistance. This is why gasoline stains many a motorcycle gas tank. A high quality clear will hold up to gas, wax and grease removers and DOT3.
