I really need your help!

Okay, so I recently removed the "INFINITI" and "G37x" logos from my trunk. I heated up the area and used goo gone to get rid of all the glue. However, there's almost like an indention that remains on the trunk. I've tried polishing, claybarring, washing, waxing, ANYTHING. I don't know what this is, or how to get if off. Has this happened to anyone else?

Looks like you heated it too much. Also, the forum where you put this thread is not the right place for it, I'm moving it for you.

If it were me I'd put the lettering back on so that it doesn't show. Barring that, I'm guessing you might have to have your trunk lid refinished to get rid of it entirely. Maybe it's possible to compound it or wet sand it so that it is less noticeable, but that is easy to mess up and damage your paint if you don't know what you're doing And since the outlines are indentions, I honestly don't think that will help. But you can try and if you screw it up, just go ahead and have it refinished.

You're welcome. I'm no expert but that's what it looks like to me. Take it to a professional and see what they tell you.
