With plasti dip you should be able to just peel it off, no need to use gas (??) to get it off

And for normal paint, you should NEVER be using gasoline as a stripping agent, if anything use pure acetone

word. just peel it. I also did the same with my grill (dropped it after it had been plastidipped once) but I made a dumb mistake and just repainted over and it didn't come out good. Just gonna peel everything off and do it over now. plastidip FTW

oem midnight grille is so expensive compared to a can of plasti-dip. i might just have to jump on the band wagon. although using $8 plastic paint on a $40k car seems a bit disrespectful.. lol

It's one thing to spend money($8) and one thing to waste money(whatever it is the midnight grille costs). You do the math. $8 can of plastidip FTW

I have about 8-10k miles on my plastidipped grille with not one chip or imperfection. Painting it or buying something else that cost a ton more and then getting chips and whatever else, now that's disrespectful. Plastidip FTW!

i want to do plasti dip also but i don't wanna remove the grill on my G37S ... can it be done without removing the grill and just use the paint tapes to cover things up?

Thanks

It can, but it will be a pain in the **** to mask off the necessary areas.
