Paint Dusting

Does anyone do any dry dusting? Any recommendations

I've been just taking a dry sheepskin mitt and lightly wiping it over the paint like a duster.

you're marring the paint by doing that...do your paint and the car a favor and buy something like this

Poorboy's World Spray & Wipe (S&W) - 16 oz | Detailed Image

or

Poorboy's World Quick Detailer Plus (QD+) - 16 oz | Detailed Image

when there is nothing to carry away the particles (like the above QD) then you are just dragging the dirt/grime across the paint and leaving micro-scratches and marring it

thanks man. Car is at a detailing shop as we speak

i took it to a detailing shop to add the protection items (paint sealant, leather interior, and some rust proofing) ..

saved me a lot of money versus going to dealersihp.

I would caution you on "dry dusting". Depending on the color of your vehicle, quick detailers should only be used after washing a car to add lubricity to the final wipe down process.

I used to wipe down my vette with detail spray after each drive in the colder winter months because I knew I would not be able to get a hose out. Unfortunately, this wiping was instilling light scratches and swirl marks. Short of an actual wash, a better alternative is to use a quality no rinse product like ONR.

I have also heard that the original California Duster is an effective way to remove light dust (and I mean very very light dust) from your vehicle assuming proper use: that is the duster barely touch the surface of the car.

Good Luck
